Lena was born into Chrysalis, taken from her the woman she was born to,
and never told who her biological mother was. She went into one of the
Chrysalis camps, where she remained until she was fifteen. At that age she
was allowed to meet her father, Eric Sauvageau.
She learned that her father was the head of the entire French section of
Chrysalis, the highest position held in the country, but still not at the
top of the Chrysalis ladder. He brought her to live with him, and had her
training continued. He wished to have her replace him at some point in the
future, and wanted to be sure that she would be loyal to him, and be
properly trained in everything she would need to know to be able to hold the
position once she got it.
By
the time Lena was 20, she was in charge of the division of Chrysalis that
her home town was located in under her father. He was more than proud of his
daughter, though he had pulled strings to get her where she was. He never
told her what he did. She was turning into a truly excellent Chrysalis
agent, and he had hopes that she could even surpass him during his lifetime.
A this time chrysalis also had it’s first major breakthrough in
preventing ageing. Lena’s father insisted that she be in on the trial, and
she was one of 10 taken from around Chrysalis to be in the trial, though
none of them were told about it. Lena’s father believed it was for the best,
and was convinced his daughter would be fine, as she had his genes.
Lena fought the entire time, and spent the entire trial when she wasn’t
incapacitated strapped to a table, or in a straight jacket in her room. She
never was allowed to interact with the others involved in the experiment,
and she was to ‘volatile’ to be allowed to interact with them and upset
them. Lena was one the 4 who eventually survived the trials, though not as
well as hoped.
Because of an abnormality inherited from her father that the scientists
missed, Lena had to have a heart transplant shortly after she was first
given the drugs to extend her life. She spent months in the hospital, still
receiving treatments as the altered them to allow her to survive, and found
her a new heart.
When Lena was released, she was sent back home to France, and to her
fathers house to continue her recovery. She learned that she had been in
London the entire time, and that there were 6 involved in the experiments
that had died, and only 3 others besides herself who were still alive. She
also learned that it was her father who had her sent to receive the
treatments, and he was absolutely ecstatic
that she was going to live for so long, he saw it as one of the best was for
her to survive in Chrysalis, even though she was going to be stuck receiving
treatments for an extra ten years in addition to the normal 25 because of
her heart condition.
She took her old post, and by the time she was 30 she was promoted to the
level just below her father, which was exactly what she needed for what she
had been planning since learning he was the one who had sent her to have the
treatments. She made sure that she had the power and the correct reasons
manufactured before she made her move.
On the eve of her fathers promotion out of France, Lena stabbed him to
death. She had documents that showed he was a defector, and had been selling
Chrysalis secrets to the highest bidder. She also had documents that showed
everything from affairs and illegitimate children all over France that he
had snuck into Chrysalis camps, to anything else she could think of to
besmirch his character.
For her good work Lena was offered her fathers old position, but instead
she requested the same position in America that had recently been vacated
after the occupant had been ‘fired’. For her completely loyalty to
Chrysalis, and because of her experience and training, she was given the
position at the age of 32.
With her move to America, she started using the name Lena with everyones
she knew, as her father was
the only one to call her Magdalena. It was also while in America that she
met her husband, he was working as the head of the New York Division of
Chrysalis, and they married after being acquainted for two years, and Lena
moved her base of operations to the city.
The two had a relative quiet and good marriage for four years, until he
made the mistake of asking her how she had been capable of killing her
father. She explained that she had never seen him as her real father, that
Chrysalis as her family. And that her father had done nothing but hurt her,
and she had no reason to have any loyalty to him, despite the training he
had her put through, and that she had enjoyed killing him.
The her husband asked her if she loved anyone, and she easily told him
no, also confirming his fears that she had only married him because it was
the right move to make, and it gave her more of a hold over her small
portion of Chrysalis. Things were never the same between the two.
Two years later when her husband was exposed as a traitor to Chrysalis,
she had no problem killing him as well, with the same knife that she used to
kill her father. She had someone she could relatively trust put in charge of
his division, and she left the city, choosing to live in a different state
every other month.
She continued keeping a practical strangle hold on those under her,
though recently with
the
problems in San Diego, she has become extremely concerned. Believing that
enough effort has gone into the problem that it should have been solved
already, she was extremely angry that it hadn’t been, and after talking to
Sharon, the woman in power of the west coast, she decided that she herself
would go to San Diego to monitor the situation.
